SEOQuake Extension For Mozilla Firefox

SEOQuake is a great little extension for Firefox.  Like myself, I'm sure many of you use and prefer the Mozilla Firefox internet browser.  One of the main attractions has long been the integration of features known as "Extensions" or  "Add Ons".  In much the same way that "plug ins" provide increased functionality to your WordPress blog, these so called Add Ons work the same magic in Firefox.

Impatient?  Watch the video below:

So what  is SEOQuake anyway?  Here's a little blurb borrowed from their website:  "SEOQuake is a Mozilla Firefox SEO extension aimed primarily at helping web masters who deal with search engine optimization (SEO) and internet promotion of web sites. Seoquake allows to obtain and investigate many important SEO parameters of the internet project under study on the fly, save them for future work, compare them with the results, obtained for other, competitive, projects."

Got it?  A little further broken down, SEOQuake allows website owners to obtain SEO info, in real time, providing measurable and comparable results.  So if you were trying to compare two websites against each other, you would have a number of parameters from which to base your comparison.

Here's a screen shot of what I mean, click on the image to open in a new tab.  This is a Google search result for the term HostGator.

The Red Arrows indicate the instantly generated results.  Notice the scroll bar underneath each result.  This allows you to navigate through all of the SEOQuake parameters.

For example, if you were trying to rank for the term HostGator, you would now have detailed SEO information on all of the top 10 results (or as many as you like) in Google.  This way you are able to plan your strategy for breaking into the top 10 accordingly.  Start to see how cool this add on can be?

It also works on any individual page like the example below, click on it to open in a new tab:

There is a great deal of customization available which allows you to zero in on the exact parameters you desire.  However, the default settings are more than adequate.

This is a great addition to your Search Engine Optimization toolbox.

Blog Commenting Done Right

Recently I have been spending more time blog commenting, and I've also been enjoying the benefits from it.  At the Warrior Forum, I found a thread where others were talking about the same thing.  Following is an excerpt from the Original Poster (OP).  The OP is bhuff85, and this is his opening post:

Blog commenting - It works! Here's what I've learned...

I have to be honest - I never really used blog commenting as a link building tactic. I recently started working on an older website that I'm really trying to build up in a tough niche market, and while look at some of my competitors backlinks using Yahoo's Site Explorer tool, I noticed quite a few of them were getting TONS of backlinks from blogs.

So, I visited those same blogs and actually READ the posts and contributed valuable, meaningful comments. A few days later, I see myself on the top commentators list for that blog and have generated over 400+ links back to my site. I keep finding new blogs daily, all with dofollow comments and the "top commentator" plugin. The thing is, while doing this, I have discovered some unique blogs and have started reading them regularly in addition to adding my comments. So, it's a win-win - I keep returning to read posts and offer valuable feedback, they get a return reader and I get some links back to my site.

Since I've noticed that dofollow blogs and the "top commentator" plugin increase readership, I've even added these to my new blog that I've recently started to help increase readership.

Now, you can't just start blasting blogs with comments that are meaningless. That will get you nowhere and often ruin any reputation that you could've built with that site. Here are a few tips I picked up that have helped me gain solid links and be looked upon as a valued contributor to discussions:

- Never use a blatant keyword as your name. I usually input my name and then the keyword I'm targeting (i.e. Dave @ Legit Home Jobs). Doing this gets my keyword in there, but comes across as less spammy and more authoritive.

- ALWAYS POST MEANINGFUL COMMENTS! Take the time to READ the blog post. Offer something more than "hey, that was a great post!" or "thank you for the tips". I usually will try to add some value to the post, give additional tips, or if I disagree with the post, I will explain my reasons why. I also sometimes will reply to others who have a question or will elaborate more on their responses.

- Never post multiple comments and leave, especially on a new blog that you've never posted at before. Comments are timestamped and blog owners can easily see you comment dropping, never to return. I always start with a well rounded comment on a post that I can give the most feedback on. If it's approved, I'll return and post more each day. Plus, on most blogs, once you have a good comment approved, Wordpress has a setting that will automatically approve any commenters who've had a previous comment approved.

- Look for blogs with the "top commentator" plugin. On some blogs, this list will refresh daily, once a week, once a month, once a year or whenever the blog owner decides it's time for a change. Either way, it's a great way to get a lot of backlinks, as this widget is usually on every page of that blog.

I hope you all can use these tips the next time you try to work on blog commenting. Not a bad way to get a lot of link love with minimal work. I can say this is now in my overall link building plan for every site I have.

The whole point of this blog post was to demonstrate how CommentLuv for WordPress benefits you in many different ways.

What happened is revealed in the video, but it just goes to prove the power of this WordPress plugin.  Check out this video to get the rest of the story:

As you can see, some of the benefits are totally unexpected.  The moral of the story is to actually use CommentLuv.  Imagine if you leave 5 comments each day, 5 days each week, after one month you could have 100 of these stories like mine!

How To Enable CommentLuv For Wordpress On Your Blog

You've probably already heard of the CommentLuv plug in for WordPress, right?  Are you using it regularly?  Do you have it installed or do you know how to enable CommentLuv on your blog?

If you do not, or if you are not really familiar with the plug in, I would like to share how I have been able to benefit from it.  Some ways are obvious and expected, while others were coincidental and quite unexpected.

First, I put together an introductory video to the CommentLuv plug in:

Download now or watch on posterous
commentluv.mp4 (19354 KB)
As you can see, CommentLuv is great for SEO.  You are getting a link back to your home page through your profile name.  But then you get something huge, a one way anchor text link pointing to your related content.  Wow.  That's like spoon feeding Google, Yahoo and Bing exactly what they crave!

Try to do like 5 comments per day for 5 days per week.  At the end of a month you should have round about 100 of these links pointing at your site, all from relevant content.  From there just keep it going or outsource it.

For SEO, these links are not the only links you will ever need but they are a fantastic compliment, and highly regarded by the search engines.  Keep them growing at a nice slow pace.  Don't try to blast 1000 in the first week then zero for weeks thereafter.

CommentLuv generates pure traffic as well to the SEO benefits.  Many people will stumble upon these comments and click through to visit your site.  Stop and think about that.  These people are interested enough in your niche topic  to be reading through the comments where they find yours.

They can click directly through to your content.  Instant targeted traffic.  Also, people begin to recognize your Gravatar and you begin to build brand recognition within your niche.  The more people recognize your image, the more credibility you build in their mind, and the more interest they have in your content.

But one of the coolest things has been the relationships that are instantly built.  Often times after leaving a comment, the blog owner will reply on their blog, but also head over to your blog and leave a comment.  From there, who knows what might happen.  But the relationships multiply and continue to grow.

So just imagine if month after month you build 100 or so of these "bridges" for people to reach your website.  Do you think that would help get traffic?  Do you think the search engines would like that too?  Do you think that out of 100 blogs you visit, you might meet some pretty cool people?

What have you got to lose?  Enable CommentLuv on your blog today and get started spreading the Luv!

Please Share this content with your friends.

SocialAdr For Social Bookmarking

There are lots of different opinions about social bookmarking today and just how important they are in the overall scheme of social marketing these days.  As everyone knows, I'm no expert!  However, I will share why I like and recommend using SocialAdr for social bookmarking.

First, they currently employ 19 different social bookmarking sites.  Their Setup Wizard makes signing up at all 19 a snap.  Once complete, you are ready to start bookmarking other members' content.

Each time you sign into your SocialAdr account, on your dashboard you will find your Share Queue.  This is pre-loaded with other members' content for you to browse.  You then simply click once on "Share", and that member's content is shared across all 19 of your accounts.  Bam, just like that!

You can "Share" up to 5 times each day.  Each time you do, you earn Credits or "Creds".  You then use these "Creds" to pay for other members to bookmark your content.  So what happens is people all over the world, from all different IP addresses, are bookmarking your content in their account.

Think about that for a second.  Most of the time when you think about social bookmarking and SEO, you think about getting as many links as possible, right?  So, right away you're probably thinking about some software or service that promises 120 bookmarks, right?

If you go that route, you will gain one bookmark from each of 100+ accounts, all of which are in your name, and accessed from your IP.  But what if your content was only bookmarked at 19 different accounts, none of which were in your name or IP address?  And what if the same content was bookmarked over and over by lots of different people from all over the world?  Which do you think looks more natural to a search engine?

By using SocialAdr daily, I earn enough "Creds" to keep my content getting bookmarked around the clock.  The links just keep piling up with no effort from me whatsoever.  I don't have to worry about which social account I'm using, or which proxy setting is going to work today.  I just spend around 2 minutes a day sharing other members' content, and I'm finished.

I like the fact that it's human powered and membership driven.  If you want to eliminate the 2 minute daily investment there is a paid version as well.  The service works exactly the same, however, you are not required to log in and share others' content.  From there, you can purchase more "Shares" in incremental packages.

So far, I have noticed my links showing up in the SERP's, and my content is quickly indexed.  There's always a chance my content might wind up in one of the social bookmarking site's "Popular" categories too, giving me a little free traffic!

So using SocialAdr for social bookmarking has been a great experience for me.  It's not a single solution to all of your link building requirements, but it is a strong foundation.  And I can say that it works, around the clock, even while you sleep.  Make SocialAdr part of your daily content syndication routine.

What Is Jounce Anyway?

You probably already know all about it.  But, I'm always the last to know.  Today, I just discovered Jounce!  But, if you've never heard of it before, like me, you are probably asking yourself "what the heck is Jounce anyway?"

Where should I begin?  Let's see, first Jounce is a website.  The website is built around a unique software platform which allows the user to search and compare between 12 million affiliate offers!  Yes, I said 12 million!

Jounce is the world’s first "cross-network affiliate search engine". Jounce redefines one of the core problems of affiliate marketing.  It simplifies and streamlines the process of finding and recommending affiliate products.

So Jounce is a search engine providing affiliate marketers with detailed information about the offer they are considering. From there, users can quickly grab their unique referral link or "hoplink", and start promoting it in a fraction of the time it would have taken them before.  Start to see the value in Jounce?

One of the really cool features I like is the Advanced Search feature.  Advanced Search gives the user the ability to search by product name, contains or does not contain keywords, URL's, product price, commission and EPC.  Additionally, if you already know the product, you can find it by SKU, ISBN or UPC product identifiers.  Basically, you can find a product or find the affiliate program that offers the product you have already found.

There have been many times when I knew the niche I wanted to get into, but didn't have a product to promote.  So I would spend considerable time searching ClickBank, then PayDotCom, then maybe Commission Junction, and still maybe not find what I needed.  But now, I'm only one click away from finding EXACTLY what I need!

If you have your own product to promote or if you just want to serve up some ads (i.e. Adsense), you might not  be interested in Jounce.  However, if you are have found your niche and need a product to promote starting today, I highly recommend you check out Jounce!

You can visit the official Jounce website here:  Jounce

Who Wouldn't Love Unreal Web Traffic?

Who wouldn't love Unreal Web Traffic delivered to their site or blog, right?  I mean that's what we're all trying to do, get more traffic to our money pages and opt-in forms.

If you haven't noticed already, there are tons of ways to get web traffic.  Some are simply better than others.  Some of the things the "better" methods have in common are:

1.  They are cheap or cost nothing at all.
2.  They are easy to implement.
3.  They don't require a lot of maintenance.

Am I right?  Wouldn't you love to have a traffic source that didn't cost a penny, was super easy, and worked completely on auto-pilot?  Me too!  And, I've found it.  It's actually called Unreal Web Traffic.

Now let me be clear, I only recently discovered this site and have just started to promote it.  Therefore, I can't personally give you my comprehensive review or even my results.  But I can share it with you in the hopes it will help you supplement your your current web traffic.

The thing I really like is the concept behind it.  It's human powered, and I really like that.  As a result, its effectiveness is a direct result of the effort put into it.  In other words, the more you promote it, the more traffic you should expect to get.

So if you want to be part of my Unreal Web Traffic experiment, simply click on this link:

Unreal Web Traffic

If you're like me, I will initially think of a million reasons why not to sign up for something, but then I have to remind myself, that it doesn't cost a penny, and if I promote it, I will get an avalanche of traffic. I can re-direct that traffic anywhere I decide later on.

So it's a no brainer!  Just go and sign up, and promote the heck out of your link, every chance you get!

Do you have too much web traffic now?  What do you have to lose?  The more we all promote it, the more web traffic we all get!
